Y'all know you have genius.  
So I'm up to baking soon. I can feel it ramping up. Not like, throw some mix in a pan and frost it from a can bake; but flour and eggs and knives and sugar and shortening and layers and in the end you've got some fabulous concoction that tastes like it was handed down from Heaven and looks like it could be sold for a small fortune (you know the bakery on Ace of Cakes doesn't take a commission less than $100?--I'm not that good, but I will be, dammit)

I want some Ideas. flavours that would tickle you, in combinations that would make you happy. things that you would, in general, like to nom.

Shapes, Designs, etc. that would be interesting to you. my pan collection isn't fabulous-- but I have a few. cupcake tins, hexagons, I think some squares, rounds that aren't too great, but you know. I'm trying to work on it.

So throw some ideas at me. I'll give anything a fair consideration. Remember, I made crackerjack cakes last month-- I was not confident that the peanut butter pound cake drenched in gooey caramel and buttercream wouldn't make people hurl. It was *so good*, though. So seriously, I'll take anything at face value.

I like anything salty and savory mixed with my sweet. Anything with bacon is always good. I also like sweets that look like other foods, like pizza or burgers or something.

I have been craving coconut lately too.

My baking killer app is chocolate and almond/amaretto. Usually deployed with chocolate cookie/cake and almond pastry cream. I'm a traditionalist.

I have two favorite chocolate bar flavors that you could play with. One is chocolate/lavender/blueberry. The other is chocolate, cherries, chilis, including some chipotles. So smoky/sweet/chocolate.
